If your computer is working Windows 10 Pro, you can use the Local Group Policy Editor to disable Windows Defender Antivirus permanently.

To disable Windows Defender Antivirus Permanently, use these given steps:

  1. Open Start Button

  2. Search at gpedit.msc & click the top result to open the Local Group Policy Editor.

  3. Browse the following path:

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Defender Antivirus

  1. Then, double - click the Turn off Windows Defender Antivirus Policy

  2. Choose the Enabled option to disable Windows Defender Antivirus

  3. Choose the Apply button

  4. Click the OK button

  5. After following these steps, you need to Restart your computer.

Once you finished the process to Disable Windows Defender Antivirus on Windows 10. However, you will notice that the shield icon will remain in the taskbar, but this is one expected behavior because the icon is part of the Windows Security app, not from the antivirus.
